Paving the Road to Opportunity for Frost Elementary
Road Less Traveled is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to bridging the funding gaps for Robert Frost Elementary, a Title 1 school in Kirkland, WA. Founded by community members Kaylene S. and Taylor R., our mission is to ensure every K–5 student has the resources and opportunities they need to thrive—both in and out of the classroom.
Our Beginnings
Kaylene and Taylor saw firsthand how limited funding impacted students’ experiences—especially in Title 1 schools. Motivated by their shared belief that every child deserves equal access to learning resources, they rallied local families and neighbors to form Road Less Traveled. Their vision? A grassroots effort that would unite the community to strengthen and support Frost Elementary where it matters most.
Through our annual fundraising efforts, including our spring auction, we provide direct support for classroom materials, enrichment programs, and emergency assistance for families facing hardship. We believe that investing in our neighborhood school benefits the entire community, fostering a sense of connection and empowering children to pursue their dreams. When you join our cause—whether by donating, volunteering, or attending our events—you help us pave the road toward a brighter future for every child at Frost Elementary.
